  • Diagnostics of the Melanated Client

Saturday, May 10 from 2-5 pm

This class will explore the nuances of visual diagnosis, communication, and the unique health considerations of patients with darker skin tones. Traditional teachings often link colors like red to heat, pale to deficiency, and purple to stagnation—yet these signs can appear differently depending on skin pigmentation. Most medical texts, both Eastern and Western, focus almost exclusively on Caucasian patients.
